Lee was born June 18, 1928 in Blair, Nebraska to Martin O. and Esther (Sorensen) Kuhr. After graduation from Blair High School, he attended Iowa State University and joined the United States Coast Guard.

In 1948, Lee married Gloria Jessen of Blair. They were blessed with three children.

He was a dedicated employee of MIC/GM until his retirement. He also enjoyed volunteering as a Ski Patrolman at Winter Park, Colorado for many years.

Lee entered eternity of Lakewood, Colorado, on Friday, June 1, 2018.

He was buried June 6, 2018 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. A celebration of life service will be held 1 pm Monday, June 25, 2018 at Rockland Community Church, 17 South Mount Vernon Road, Golden, Colorado.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife; children: Becky Lovelett of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Sandy Walton of Eaton, Colorado; Jim Kuhr of Littleton, Colorado; five adoring grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and another on the way; brothers: Martin, Richard and Melvin Kuhr of Blair, Nebraska.

Preceding Lee in death were his parent; brothers Kenneth and Donald; sister Eunice Linnenkohl.

Lee was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by friends and family alike.
