Violet N. Hansen was born on Feb. 14, 1918, to Charles and Ressie (Robson) Evans in Emerson, Nebraska.
She married LeRoy Hansen in Logan, Iowa, on Sept. 24, 1938. They were blessed with eleven children.
They lived in several communities in Nebraska. After her husband's death, she moved to California where she worked for six years before returning to Fremont, Nebraska.
She enjoyed reading, watching westerns, baking, canning, crocheting and spending time with her children.
Violet N. Hansen of Fremont died Sunday, Oct. 9, 1999 at her daughter's home in Fremont, Nebraska.
She is survived by seven children and their spouses: LeRoy Jr. and Ann of Ocean City, Calif.; Ann Hansen of Fremont; Ronald of Fremont; Roger and Karen of North Bend; Richard and Marian of Blair; Edwin and Linda of Blair; Sharon and Lanny Bobo of Wesminster, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Velma Raleigh of Lakewood, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Linda, and three sons: Larry, Jerald and Wayne.
Services are Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Country Bible Church in Blair. Burial is in Orum Cemetery in Blair.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
