Ressie Jane Evans was born June 19, 1898, in Humansville, Missouri, to Thomas and Elizabeth Hensley Robson. She attended school in Humansville and Emerson Nebraska.

She married Charles Evans May 9, 1917, in Pender, Nebraska.

They lived in and around the Emerson and Orient, Iowa, area where they farmed. For the past 50 years, they have lived in the Fort Calhoun and Blair area. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles in 1970; a daughter, Alice; infant daughters, Doris Mae and Wilma Faye and grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, a sister, ten grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
