Harvey Glen Harmon, 80, of Ammon, Idaho passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Gables in Idaho Falls.

Glen was born on March 25, 1937 to Harvey Allen Harmon and Vera Grace Balmforth Harmon. He grew up and attended schools in Ririe until the age of 15 then his family moved to Washington and spent 25 years there until they moved to Nampa, Idaho for another 25 years until they retired and came back home to Ririe.

Glen married Barbara Leah Streeper on February 14, 1953 in Ririe, Idaho. They later solemnized their wedding in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on February 14, 1964. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many church callings in which he did each one to the best of his ability.

He loved to build things and cut out wood projects for Barbara to paint. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and four-wheelers and going camping. His favorite times were spent with his family and friends. Glen especially enjoyed his grandchildren, he would get down on the floor and play with them every chance he would get.

Glen is survived by his daughter, Lori Greer of Ammon, Idaho, two sons, Randy Harmon of Mesa, Arizona, Jeff Harmon of Centennial, Colorado, a sister Vera Faye Sibley of Arizona, a brother William Boyd Harmon of Sacramento, California, as well as 12 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

He was preceded by his wife Barbara Leah Harmon, his parents Harvey and Vera Harmon, two brothers, Del Allen Harmon, and Linden Harmon, a son-in-law Larry Greer, and a daughter-in-law Karen Harmon.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main St. Rigby, ID 83442). The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be at the Ririe Shelton Cemetery following the service.
