He grew up and attended schools in Afton, Fairview, Wyoming, and Lewisville, Idaho.
He married Vera Grace Balmforth 14 Jun 1928, in Rigby, Jefferson, Idaho. The marraige was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDWS Temple.
They farmed in Lewisville and Rigby for many years and near Moses Lake, Washington for 21 years. He also worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and for U&I Sugar Company.
Harvey had a wonderful singing voice and sang in a male quartet for many programs and funerals around the area.
He was a member of the American Woodman of Amerida. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints.
Harvey died 25 Jul 1988 at the Valley Care Nursing Center of Cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Vera, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; three sons, Del A. Harmon of Rigby, Idaho, Harvey Glen Harmon of Nampa, Idaho, and William Boyd Harmon of Rio Linda, California; a daughter Linda (Faye) Sibley of Pocatello, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held 29 Jul 1988 at 1:00 p.m. at the East Rigby LDS Stake Center with Bishop Glen R. Foster Presiding and Del A. Harmon (son) conducting.
He is buried in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
