Mr. Fritz Lorsch Buried in Ft Calhoun
Mr. Fritz Lorsch died October 20th at the Blair Community Memorial Hospital at the age of 85 years. He was born in Omaha January 24, 1882 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lorsch and was the last survivor of fourteen children. While still a small boy he came to Washington County with his parents.
On February 10, 1909 he was married to Martha Klabunde. They were the parents of four children.
He farmed for many years and in 1937 moved to Blair and was employed by the City until he retired.
Survivors besides his wife Martha are two daughters, Mrs. Asmus Wiese (Eshter) of Blair and Mrs. George Charron (Ella) of Omaha and a son, Walter, of Blair; six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Emma, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, October 23rd, at the Presbyterian Church in Fort Calhoun. The Rev. Keith Sackett officiated. The Sievers Mortuary was in charge of arrangements and burial was in the Ft. Calhoun Cemetery.
Pallbearers were five grandsons, Larry Charron and Mike Reiff of Omaha, Ronald Wiese, Franklin Youn and Richard Sederburg of Blair, and a great-nephew, Jack Lorsch of Kennard.
