Mardelle was born to Jay Polin Stokes and Maude May Arnold Stokes on the family farm near Herman, NE.
She graduated from Herman High School in 1933, then attended Wayne State and Dana College.
Mardelle taught at several rural schools in Washington County for 20 years.
In 1940, she married Harlan George Wulf of Orum.
Immanuel Lutheran of Orum became their church where Mardelle served as organist for nearly 30 years. During this time she also served as a Sunday School teacher and Bible School teacher.
Some of Mardelle's favorite things were playing the piano and organ, baking, sewing and making quilts for her daughters and each grandchild. Later she enjoyed making apple pies and homemade bread as gifts for her family.

Daughters: Sharlene Kuhr, Marilyn (Henry) Neef and Betty (Ron) Livermore
Grandchildren: Kristi, Shelly, Troy, Mike, Jacque, Dane & Derek
18 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren
