Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial United Methodist Church, of which he was a member.
A native of Thomasville, he was former owner of the Butter-Kist Shop, of Joe's Sandwich Shop and of Joe's Restaurant. He was former president of the Thomasville Jaycees and a former member of Thomasville Lions Club, a member of Thomasville Masonic Lodge 214, of the Oasis Temple and of the Chair City Shrine Club.
Surviving is his sister, Mrs. Bessie Barkley of the home.
J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will be at the church fellowship hall following the service.
