Ronald W. Mau, age 76, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016.

He was born in Joliet on November 14, 1939. He was a graduate of Joliet Township High School, Class of 1957.

Ron is a Veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1963 until 1965.

He retired in March 2011 from Dutch Farms (formerly known as the Joliet Butter Company). He enjoyed researching his family tree through genealogy, working outside in the yard and making woodworking crafts.

Ron's greatest joy was just spending time with his family.

He was a member of Ingalls Park United Methodist Church where he served on many committees including Past Lay Leader and more recently as Head Trustee.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Roberta J. Mau (nee Seeman). Two daughters, Renee (Scott) Summerour & Robin (Michael) Apostolou. Four grandchildren Joshua, Anthony (Stephanie), Matthew (Elizabeth) Apostolou & Ashley Summerour and four great-grandchildren Alana, Callie, Natalie & Jaxson. Also surviving are a sister-in-law Jackie Mau, a niece Cheryl Watts, his cousin Sandy Hamon along with numerous cousins and a lot of great friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard & Lillian Mau; two brothers Howard & Charles Mau and his in-laws, Adolph & Mary Seeman.

Arrangements entrusted to Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, Joliet.

Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
