Pastor Ted Burgess Konvalin

Ted was born to Joe and Oppie (Glen) Konvalin
He attended the Kennard Schools until graduation in 1943.
He then moved to Omaha and worked at Mutual of Omaha until he was drafted into the Navy in September of 1943.
While in the Navy he came to know the Lord as his Savior and after being discharged in 1947, he attended the Fundamental Bible Institute in Los Angels, California.
In 1949, he transferred to the Omaha Bible Institute and graduated from here in May of 1950.
He was ordained at Chariton Bible Church in Chariton, Iowa. Later that same year, during his time at OBI, he began pastoring at the Independent Bible Church in Derby, Iowa and after graduation, took a full time pastorate of four country churches in that same area.
While at OBI-he met the love of his life, Glenna Ellen Bybee and they were married on June 5-1955 at the Grace Baptist Church in Omaha, NE. They were together for 65 years.
He served as pastor in Derby, Iowa, Burr Oak, Kansas, and stated First Baptist Church in Plattsmouth, NE.
In 1956, the family moved to California where he attended LA Baptist College until 1959, when he began pastoring at Grace Baptist Church in Home Gardens, California.
Ted spent 40 years ministry before retiring from First Baptist Church in Nebraska City, NE., where he was at for almost 19 years.
After retirement Ted and Lenna settled in Omaha, NE where he continued to minster through Supply Pulpit to churches in the area, teaching and serving at Grace Baptist Church in Omaha.
