Fred Golinveaux

Frederick Louis Golinveaux, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Born April 30, 1926 in Inglewood, CA. Found grace and peace with his beloved Savior on September 27, 2001. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen Lorraine Golinveaux of Antioch, CA and their twelve children, Robert Golinveaux of Oregon, Louise Gardner of New Mexico, Michael Golinveaux of New Mexico, Jenette and Steve Nelson of Idaho, Steve Golinveaux of California, Marge and Dave Sitzmann of Idaho, Ramona Golinveaux of California, David and Carolyn Golinveaux of California, Peter and Susan Golinveaux of Idaho, Elizabeth and Ray Eudaly of California, Daonald and Maria Golinveaux of California, and James and Ruby Golinveaux of Rhode Island.
Dear brother of the late Virginia Embody, the late Ann Golinveaux, John Golinveaux, Joe Golinveaux, Mary Cascio, Tom Golinveaux and Bernadette Golinveaux. Fred is also survived by 34 beautiful grandchildren and 10 precious great-grandchildren .
Fred served as the first Fire Chjif for Riverview Fire Department for 2 years and served for 26 years with Contra Costa Counsolidated Fire District. He enjoyed 23 years of wonderful retirement with his wife Helen playing golf and traveling. Fred devoted his whole life to serving his God and the Beloved Church. No task was too small, no channenge too difficult for Fred to take on He lived his faith everyday sharing God’s love and respect with all those he met. He touched many people’s lives and will be sorely missed. We can all take comfort that he is now in heaven with his Lord and Savior.
Any donations should be directed to the Holy Rosary Church Building Fund, Antioch, CA in memory of Fred Golinveaux.
Friends are invited to attend a rosary, Monday, October 1, 2001 at 7:30 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Antioch and visit at Higgins Funeral Home in Antioch on Monday October 1 from 1-5 pm. Funeral Services will be at Holy Rosary Church on Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at 10 am. Burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery following.
