I was born in Livermore, CA and was raised in Pleasanton, CA. I worked most of my life in Contra Costa County and retiring in 1999 from the Contra Costa County Fire District. I have been doing family history for the past 30 or so years, writing down stuff and eventually getting into a computer program called Roots 3, then Roots 4, then Roots 5, and now I use The Master Genealogist Version 8. My wife Didi and I now live in Surprise, AZ.
