1770-09-07 founding subscriber to Tuscarora church. Member of the church presbytery. 1775-06-12 William Patterson deeded land to sons-in-law John Hanna, William Hanna, & Philip Pendleton, recorded 1776-03-19. 1782-04-17 William Patterson named William Hanna as son-in-law (Sarah Patterson). 1791 brothers William, Adam, Thomas Hannah under general Charles Scott & captain James Brown in expedition against Miami Amerindians. 1800 resident of Slaughter district of Tuscarora township on tax roll. died intestate by 1810-08-10, starting a series of deeds through 1812 March among Hannahs, Parks, Gills, Boyds, Nolls, Motts, Scotts, Craighill/Craghills, Lyles, Davenports... the extended family & neighbors. But 2 genealogies posted in 2002 & 2003 say the estate was administered 1809-12-18 in Berkeley county, citing Ross B. Johnston 1977 _West Virginia Estate Settlements_ pg45 (Genealogical Publishing Company).
