Claude Alvin Blanchard Jr passed away March 30, 2016, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 90. Claude loved his family and many close friends. He loved dancing, traveling the world with Evelyn, art, and architecture. His career in education spanned over 35 years, mostly with Spring Branch ISD. Claude co-founded the First Community Credit Union which supported his belief in saving for the future! He was a devoted member of St Cecilia Catholic Church and longtime member of the Saint Francis of Assisi Guild. Claude is a naval veteran of World War II.
Claude is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, of 57 years, and son Paul. He is survived by his children: Claudia & Ingram Lee, Betsy & Michael Sodolak, and Steve Blanchard. Grandchildren: Lauren & Hunter Carr, Kristin Sodolak, Kelcie & Brandon Berry, Lauren Lee, and Gram Lee. Great-grandchild: Easton Bosley.
A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 8:30 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell, 77007.
