Mrs. Viola Willis Fox, age 91 of Marion, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2004 at Autumn Care of Marion. Mrs. Fox was born in Cocke County, TN on May 31, 1912 and was the daughter of the late James Wiley Willis and Kitty Woody Willis.
She was a member of Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Her husband, James N. Fox, daughter, Ima Jean Cuthbertson, great grandson, Chad Cuthbertson and a brother Roy Willis, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Fox is survived by three children, Burnette Fox of Marion, Shirley Jimison of Marion and Nellie Dean Hunter of Spartanburg, S. C.; seven sisters, Lucy Messer, Rachel Fox, Beulah Grigsby, Vista Walker, Kathleen Toby and Thelma Hill of TN and Janette Young of Hendersonville; four brothers, Epharium Willis, Ua Willis, Paul Willis and Monroe Willis all of TN; eight grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Sunday, March 7, 2004 at 3:00 PM at Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church with Revs. Milton Hollifield and Billy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 6, 2004 from 6 – 8 PM at Westmoreland Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Interment will be in Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
