Georgietta Jo Ellis, 90, of Columbus OH, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at home, surrounded by her family. Georgietta was born on October 4, 1924, in Portsmouth OH to George and Jessie (Wymer) Born. She loved spending time with her large family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry Reid, twin brother George E. Born, son David Brian Ellis, sisters Katherine McCoy and Becky Pinkston, great-grandchildren Andrew and Leeann Compton, and son-in-law Jerry Clickenger.
Georgietta is survived by her children Cathy (Lewis) Compton, Harry (Judy) Reid, Dottie Clickenger, Karen (Donald Newell) Myers, Tammy Wissinger, Jason Ellis (Cathy Spencer), and GeriLynn White (Robert Kline); former husband and true friend Oval Ellis; sisters Dorothy Buckle and Jan (Richard) Munion; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on February 19, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-7 p.m. at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg OH, where her funeral will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Steve Moore officiating. Burial at 1 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015, at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott OH.
