William T. Guttery was listed on the 1880 TX Census, Lamar Co., Beat 6, living in the household of his parents.

William married Susan Stillwell on Oct. 6, 1897 in Lamar Co., Texas. It was a brief marriage with no children. They must have divorced because there is a marriage record for Susan Guttery to Richard Clay McCleary on Sept. 27, 1898 in Lamar Co., Texas. Susan & her husband moved on to Oklahoma.

In 1900, William T. Guttery was listed on the Texas Census, Lamar Co., JP 6, living in the household of his younger sister Mollie (Guttery) Everett & her husband Richard Everett. William's occupation was farm laborer.

On April 29, 1901, William married Mary Love in Lamar Co., Texas. They had 4 known children prior to William's death. The children were John, Ella, David & Christopher (aka Lum - short for Christopher Columbus Guttery).

William died in Lamar Co., Texas about 1910. (Some researchers show the death date as June 4, 1910 but no headstone or proof of date has been found to show this. However, his last child Lum was born July 29, 1909 so the June 4, 1910 date may be accurate for death.)

William T. Guttery's widow Mary remarried to Richard Henry Lee Hignight about 1913 (Mary was his 3rd wife). After Richard's death, she remarried to Elmer Collins prior to 1930.
