Israel Garfield Wance, 62, of Aaronsburg, a retired farmer, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Buell Pogue of Millheim Friday, January 28, 1944.
Born in Haines Township April 11, 1881, he was the son of Hugh and Ellen Jane Wagner Wance. On December 23, 1906, he married the former Minnie Bright who preceded him in death.
The Following children survived:
Miles Wance of Coburn; Mrs. Nelson Stover of Livonia; Mrs. Willard Parott and Paul Wance, both of Aaronsburg; Mrs. Pogue of Millheim; and Mrs. Rex Tharp of Waynesburg.
The following brothers and sisters were:
Daniel I. Wance of Rebersburg; Mrs. Ira Schultz of near Millheim. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Services were held at the Pogue home followed by services in the Aaronsburg Lutheran Church with the Reverend J. S. Shannon officiating.
Interment was in the Aaronsburg Lutheran Cemetery.
