H. D. and sister went yesterday afternoon to ye Funeral of our ancient friend Mary Pemberton, [age 73, wife of Israel] ye Corpse was carried to meeting, departed this Life on first day morning, ye 25th inst.

Mary, daughter of Nathan & Mary Stanbury, was put under the care of Richard Hill & his wife Hannah (Lloyd) as her parents died "in her tender years".

She married 1st widower Richard Hill, Provincial Councilor of PA, having received authorization from Philadelphia Mo Mtg on 8mo/Oct 25, 1700. [marriage record is extant]
She is named as the wife of Richard Hill in his Will #128, signed 28 Aug 1729, proved 8 Sep 1729, PA Will Bk E, pg 112.

She married 2nd Robert Jordan of Virginia on 4mo/Jun 3, 1731 at Philadelphia. [marriage record is extant]

She married 3rd Israel Pemberton, Jr in 1747; Israel Pemberton was exiled to Virginia 9mo 1777.

This information is contained in the Friend's Testimony to "Mary Pemberton" at Philadelphia Mtg dated 7mo 30, 1779.
