ARNAUDVILLE ~ Funeral services will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Gladys Lanclos, age 88, the former Gladys Marks, who passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville.

Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.

Mrs. Lanclos was a native and resident of Arnaudville, having lived in Houston for many years. Following her graduation from Cecilia High School in 1947, she married her husband, Alexis, the love of her life and moved to Houston a year later. She retired with Brown and Root Oil Field Services after forty-five years of service. Mrs. Lanclos loved traveling the world and making friends. Mrs. Lanclos loved line dancing at Poche’s and J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home, taking cruises and children. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville.

Survivors include one brother, Daniel Marks and his wife, Suzanne, of Arnaudville; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Marks and Lou Anna Marks of both of Arnaudville; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years who was a native of Pecaniere; her parents, Leonidas Marks and the former, Louisa Olivier; four brothers, Freddie Marks, Felix Marks, Leon Marks and Glenn Marks; and two sisters, Myrtle Usia and Deanna Picou.
