Obituary: Mrs. Clara E. Day, 63, of RD 1, Middlebury Center, died Tuesday, January 24, in Blossburg. Born October 9, 1903, in Corning, N.Y., the daughter of Charles and Ella Colegrove Southard, she was married to Fred G. Day, who died in 1952. She is survived by three sons, Donald of Nelson, Charles and Frederick of Middlebury Center; 7 daughters: Mrs. Vera Karhan of Germania, Mrs. Iris Bunnell and Mrs. Dolores Kellner of Coudersport, Mrs. Florence Niles and Mrs. Judy Connelly of Roulette, Mrs. Cora Lucas of Ulysses, and Mrs. Anna Monk of Middlebury Center; eight brothers: Arleigh, Warren, Eugene and Robert Southard of Middlebury Center; Arthur and Olan of Painted Post, N.Y., Olaf of Little Marsh, and John of Buffalo, N.Y.; 38 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Keeneyville Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kermit Schrawder officiating. Burial was in Middlebury Union Cemetery.
