BENGE, WILLIE MAE, 100, a homemaker, died Monday, October 20, 2003 at a local care center in Grand Prairie. Mrs. Benge was born to William and Mae Hatter on September 11, 1903 in Coleman, OK. She was a former resident of Salinas, CA. until moving to Grand Prairie in 1995. Survivors; son; John Benge and his wife Bettye of Grand Prairie, daughter; Margaret Helen Franklin of Nevada City, CA., 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, sisters; Marie Parker and Ruth Porter, both of Seymour, TX. Mrs. Benge was preceded in death by her husband, John Elmo Benge and a daughter, Willie Katherine Pyle. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2003 in the Sanctuary of The First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, where she was a member, Dr. William Skaar officiating.
