Ruth Porter, age 95, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at her residence in Seymour. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Red Springs Baptist Church, with A.B. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Henson Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Ruth was born September 23, 1918, in Coleman, Oklahoma to Will and Mae Owens Hatter. She married Horton Porter on February 21, 1936 in Red Springs, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2007. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Red Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Wichita Falls or the Red Springs Baptist Church.
