Katie L. Roles, 65, died December 19 in Fairfax Hospital. She had lived at Waxpool all of her live life until about two years ago when she sold her home there and moved to Manassas.
She was the widow of Alvin Roles who died 20 years ago. Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Alexander of Waxpool.
She is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Lillian Fauver of Waxpool, Mrs. Margaret Campbell of Lucketts, Mrs. Nellie Burrier of Maryland, and a daughter (Nelsie Letner) in Ohio, six sons; Louis of Ohio, Charley and Wesley both of Manassas, Stacey, Morris (Maurice), and Hilton of Loudoun.
Two Sisters; Mrs. Bertha Van Horn and Mrs. Blanche Neese (Nece) survive as do two brothers; Grafton Alexander of Washington, DC and Harrison Alexander of Leesburg.
Funeral services were held December 22 from Mt. Hope Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John Gindlesperger. Interment was at Mount Hope Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Herman Moran, Russell Tillett, James Grimes, Roger Croson, Horace Wortman, and Clarance Wortman.
