He was a carpenter and worked for Oklahoma Panhandle State University, retiring in 1994 after 12 years.
He married Virgie Mae Mallard on July 2, 1987, in Stratford, Texas. She preceded him in death on Feb. 21, 2004. He was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers.
Survivors include four daughters and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Bunch-Roberts chapel with Rev. Truman Summerford, pastor of the Hardesty Apostolic Faith Church, Officiating. Family interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.
His grave is located in the section between Rose Lane (400 St.) and 500 St. and between E St. & F St. with his wife, Virgie Mae.
