Parsons--Mrs. Nancy Parsons, an old and highly respected resident of the 10th district, died Sunday night at the old home place about 5 miles from Sevierville. She was 87 years old and had been in feeble health for some time past. She was living with her son D.L. Parsons, and he and three other brothers, Will and James living in Kansas and Rev. R.B. Parsons, Bearden, and two sisters, Mrs. Jane Cardwell and Mrs. Mary Rector, of Claiborne county, are left to mourn her loss. Her husband, Daniel parsons died about five years ago. Mrs. Parsons was a good woman and exerted a great influence for good in the community where she lived. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill M.E. church and was buried there yesterday at 10 o'clock. The funeral was largely attended and was conducted by Rev. W.M. Bull and Rev. Caleb Rule.
