Virginia Jane Copeland also know as Jennie was born one of seven children to Richard and Margaret Hartsoe Copeland in Overton county Tn.
At the age of 17 she married Henry Lee on Jan. 19,1835 in Overton Tn.
From this union she bore 6 children:

Mary Bethrah
Dec. 17,1850 Jennie divorced Henry on the grounds of adultery. She was pregnant at the time with Mary Bethrah.
In 1862 she is shown owning 119 acres of land in Overton Tn with a value of $459.00
June 5,1880 there is paperwork stating she is disabled with THE FEVER and has been for 3 months. The fever is what ended her life.
