Clayton Larry Mooneyham, 62, of Hickory passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011, at his residence.
Born October 22, 1948 ,in Causby, Tenn., he was the son of the late John Riley and Oliebell Mooneyham. He was a member of Icard Church of God.
Mr. Mooneyham is survived by his wife, Loyce Smith Mooneyham, of the home; two sons, Billy Mooneyham and wife Angie of Lenoir, Buddy Moss of Newton; two daughters, Kisha Lail of Longview, Shelly Lane of Tennessee; five sisters and one brother of Newport, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2011, in the chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Asher officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at Bass-Smith Funeral Home.
Billy Mooneyham, Buddy Moss, Rusty Moss, Billy Ray Cline, Jacob Triplett, Johny Willis, Rick Counterman and Jacob Bryant will serve as pallbearers.
