Dolly Black, age 89, of Hartford, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at her home.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Grassy Fork.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lavern Black, son Sherman Black, daughter Karen Dean Mullis, parents John Riley and Ollie Belle Mooneyham, six brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Shaffer and husband Eugene, sons Ferman ‘Winkey' Black, Paul Black and wife Kathie, Charley Black, Oll Lavern Black, Von Floyd Black and wife Bobbie, brother John Riley ‘Junior' Mooneyham, sisters Nita Frisbee, Rosie Black, and Mozella Ford, seventeen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends Wednesday, October 23, 2013, from 5:00â€"7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral services following at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Randall Freeman and Rev. Jerry Raines officiated.
Interment was held Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the Black Family Cemetery.
