Burial date listed in cemetery records say that burial date is January 20, 1878, however in using obituaries in old newspapers, I have found that many times the burial date listed is actually the date of death for that person and not the actual burial date. Maybe that is when the plot was reserved and the record created?

*Note: This memorial and the memorials for the other people who are buried in the lot owned by John R. Kinzy are a "work in progress". There must be some sort of link between them, family or otherwise, to be buried in a lot owned by one man. But there is not a lot of information available for many of these people that I have been able to find. The little bit I have found indicates that some or all are African-Amrican, so it may be that there is not much information available for them from that time in history.
I want their families to be able to find these people if they are looking. I don't want them to be lost in history. So, I will create these memorials with the little information I have, and continue to research them, in the hopes that someday one of their descendants will "find" them and be able to provide more information.

David and Rosena Clark: The 1880 census contains this information: both black, born in Virginia, and married to each other. It says David was a carpenter and owned his home, he was age 55 and Rosena was age 50 (which disputes her marker and newspapers that say she was 101 at the time of her death, unless her age on this census is WAY off). They had 2 boarders living with them:
Blanche Brice, black female, age 21, born in Missouri, going to school.
James Bird, black male, age 54, born in Ohio, school teacher.
