"Mary Sandra Exley Thornburg, Springfield- Mary Sandra Exley Thornburg, 70, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at Effingham Extended Care. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springfield, where she did volunteer work for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm (Mac) Thornburg, her parents Mary Blanchard Exley and Milton L. Exley and brothers, James H. Exley and J. Raymond Exley. She is survived by one niece, two nephews, an aunt, Dorothy B. Mock of S.C. and several cousins.
Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery Annex. Remembrances may by given to First Baptist Church of Springfield Building Fund, 1435 Hwy. 119 N., Springfield, GA 31329.
