He was born in Effingham County and was a member of Springfield First Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Sandra Thornburg of Springfield; a daughter-in-law, Faye Exley of Springfield; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Thomas C. Strickland Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Thomas C. Strickland Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel, burial in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
