Mabel Ruth (Talley) Brooks Purkey
d/o Clem Talley & Bertha (Pack) Talley

Both age 21, Ross Hayes Brooks, who then died 16 Jul 1941 age 22, having registered for WWII but before he could serve (his draft card is written across in red pencil "Cancelled Deceased").
Mabel gave birth to their only child, Randall Brooks in 1942.
2m. Mabel then married Archie N Purkey, who raised her son / his stepson Randall Brooks. Mabel & Archie were married until her death in 1997. Archie died 20yrs later in 2017.

Mabel's baby lost a parent when her husband, Randall's father died very young even before their son was born; sadly Mabel herself was just a baby when her own mom died young. Mabel was the youngest child of:
