She spent the majority of her life doing what she loved most, singing. She was a member of a couple local gospel groups as well as enjoying going to all the local churches as a soloist spreading God's message. When she wasn't singing, she enjoyed quilting, baking, mushroom hunting, dragging each and every one of her children and grandchildren mushroom hunting, as well as just spending time with them.
Her Son's, Ed (Vick) Shelton and Rick (Kim) Shelton of Bloomington and her daughter, Jody (Sam) Figg of Ellettsville will forever be grateful to her for providing an example of the kind of parent they should strive to be. She was there for us until she no longer could be.
