JoDell married Jack Carroll Carter 24 April 1946 in Alice, Jim Wells County, Texas. To this union five children were born.
JoDell worked at Kelly Field during WWII.
JoDell enjoyed growing a garden and canning its produce, fishing for catfish, growing flowers, crocheting, sewing, and spending time with her family. Her hands were always busy.
JoDell fought a good battle against the bone cancer that invaded her body. She passed away in the loving care of her daughter, Cathy.
She became a member of the Church of Christ as a young woman and remained faithful until death.
She died at 78 years of age.
