ALBION — Norman G. “Norm” Bandt, 72, of Wolbach died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Boone County Health Center in Albion.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach with Vicar Marcia Dorn officiating. Inurnment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach. Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.

He died with his wife by his side.

He was born on Oct. 6, 1942, in St. Paul to Percy and Mable (Smith) Bandt.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Bandt of Wolbach; children and spouses, Trisha and Bob Steffenmeier of Clarkson, Lonnie Bandt of York, Genevieve Houston of Stanton, Iowa, and Kenneth and Brenda Bandt of Grand Island; brother, Raymond Bandt of Fullerton; and sisters and brother-in-law, Marilyn Prentice of Wolbach and Marjorie and Elton Teter of Amherst.

He also leaves to cherish his memory 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Norm was a 1961 graduate of Wolbach High School.

He married Pam Schlueter on Dec. 14, 1963, at Palmer. To this union, Trisha, Lonnie and William were born. The couple lived in Palmer and later divorced.

He married Donna Hart on Aug. 19, 1978, in St. Paul. To this union Kenneth was born, and Norm became a stepfather to Genevieve. The couple lived in Palmer and later moved to Cedar Rapids. He worked as a feedlot manager for the Dinsdale family for 37 years. In 2008, he and Donna moved to Wolbach.

Norm was an avid Husker fan and enjoyed watching Western movies and TV shows. He also loved spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William Bandt; niece, Audrea Bandt; and a brother-in-law, Kenny Prentice.
