Jimmy Marshall of Newport born October 25, 1933, died peacefully in his sleep on December 31, 2014.
He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertice and Lorene Marshall; sister and brother-in-law, Mable and Furn Trentham; brother, Carroll Marshall; three infant brothers; and sister-in-law, Frances Marshall.
He is survived by his wife, Cordelia Marshall; children, Ricky Marshall (Melinda), Tammie Mikoletic (T.J.), Randy Marshall (Diane); grandchildren, Dr. Tara Clements (Colby), Matthew Marshall, Teela Mikoletic, Megan Fowler, Trevor, Ericka, Michael and Bryson Marshall; great-grandchildren, Lakelynn and Paxley Fowler; sister-in-law, Pamela Marshall; and several other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, January 2, 2015 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Centerview Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Ricky Witt and Rev. Gary Briggs officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:00 pm -2:00 pm prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bybee Food Ministry.
