JOSEPH H. `JOE' RESNICK
Joseph H. ``Joe'' Resnick, age 75, of Alcoa, departed this life July 18, 2002. He was baptized at Frying Pan Freewill Baptist Church, Haysi, Va. and a member of Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by daughter, Susan Oldham; sons, Joseph Resnick Jr., Gordon Resnick; parents, Grady and Ester Resnick; brothers, Ralph Resnick, Jimmy Resnick Elmer Resnick, Cecil Resnick; sisters, Imogene Owens, Norma Resnick, Avis Resnick, Janice Resnick.
Survivors: Wife, Virginia WHITEHEAD (Oldman) Resnick; sons, Lawrence Paul Resnick, of High Point, N.C., Jerry Oldham, Martin Oldham, both of Decatur, Ala.; daughter, Janet Banks, of Alcoa; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert L. Resnick, of Lebanon, Va.; sister, Zula Richardson, of Richmond, Va.; brothers-in-law, Coleman Whitehead, of Maryville, Jack Whitehead, of Maryville; sister-in-law, Kathleen Whitehead Hearon, of Alcoa; special friends, Les Hearon, Mr. and Mrs. Ken McBrayer, Harry Banks; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2002 Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church. ``Red Top'' Rev. Robert Lee whitehead officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
