Janice Gail Rasnick, daughter of Grady and Ester Rasnick was about a year younger than me. She was blind but she knew her area. When they would bring her home they would lead her to the gate. They had a yard fenced with palings. When she would reach the gate she would run and play as well as someone who had sight, she knew the house and yard and could negotiate the area well.

She only lived to be about 15 years old. Rest in Peace Miss Janice I know you are in a far better place and are seeing all the beautiful things that God has in store for us.

The house and yard are gone now. The Frying Pan Baptist Church occupies the space now. Your mom and dad gave a portion of their land to build a church just after God called you home. You probably remember the revival Gobel Rose and Hie Mullins held on the porch of your home the year before you left. I am sure you were there that night because I was.

My mom and dad Altha and Holt Rice were saved in that revival so they built a church at the end of the garden. The land that the house was on and all on that side of the road belongs to the church now. Jimmy's wife sold it to the church in 2014 I think. The church has grown and is a beautiful place with a fellowship hall, a shed and a paved parking lot.

I was a few months older than you and I remember you. I have lived long enough that my eyes are dimming now but I am sure God has given you eyes that will never fail again.

Janice Gail Rasnake I am so thankful for memories and I hope I live close enough to God that I will see you in that land where there will be no tears.
