Early Life: Audra was born December 12, 1923, in Rigby, Idaho, to Cyril and LaVern Barker Call. Audra loved to learn and thought highly of education. She graduated valedictorian from Rigby High School in 1942.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Audra later received her Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees from Brigham Young University. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many positions in the Church, including a mission to New Mexico in the Western States Mission in 1946. She later helped develop and write teaching programs for the Church. Her motto was "Do your best, Live by faith, Give the impossible to God, and get out of His way." Audra married Joel Moss on May 26, 1948, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She often spoke of their honeymoon in Hawaii and how they worked on a pineapple farm, coming home with $5.00 in their pocket. They were married for 66 years. Her adoring husband, Joel, will miss her greatly. Throughout her life, he was a doting companion. Audra loved music and began playing the violin to the sheep in the barn. She later played in several symphonies, including the Utah Valley Symphony, where she was first violin for thirty years. Her passion came to life through drama. She demanded the best of herself and others in all she did. She directed many plays, and especially enjoyed directing Saturday's Warrior in Canada. She also wrote, produced and acted in a one-woman show entitled Circle of the Cross in which she portrayed seven people who lived at the time of Christ. She performed her play in many parts the United States, Canada, Russia and Taiwan. Audra and Joel traveled the United States and Canada teaching at BYU Education Weeks. They instilled in their children a love for travel, learning and people. They also published several books and developed educational TV shows called Patterns for Parents and Moss on Marriage. Audra loved her family. She enjoyed life to its fullest - teaching, traveling, writing, creating, gardening, poetry, art, fishing, friends, playing games, throwing great parties and sleeping in the gazebo with her grandchildren. She loved her family, and welcomed many 'extra' children into her family. Joel and Audra taught at Xiamen University, in China, as a service mission for two years in the early 1990s. When they returned home, many of their students came to the United States and lived with them while studying at BYU. Audra Lucile Call Moss passed away peacefully at home September 29, 2014.
Survived By: Her husband, Joel; her children: Kevin (Suzanne) Moss, Lani (Robert) Lambourne, Kate (Rick) Willis, Shauna (Rich) Reid, David (Kim) Moss, and Janine (Ben) Cleverley; her siblings: Nona Hunter, Barbara Brown, Fred Call, Brent Call.
