In 1665, Samuel's father Joseph became an original settler of colonial Elizabethtown, Essex County, New Jersey, now known as Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey.

He married LYDIA BONNELL in Elizabethtown, Essex Co. NJ. She was born 1677 in Elizabethtown, Essex Co. NJ, and died Unknown.

Children of Samuel Frazee and Lydia Bonnell:
1. Samuel Frazee, Jr. b. Aft. 1700; d. Unknown.
2.Jacob Frazee b. 1713; d. April 24, 1733, Rahway, NJ.
3. Jane Frazee, b. Bet. 1705 - 1716; d. Unknown.

Per the book, "Ancestral lines of Doniphan, Frazee and Hamiliton" p. 201-202:
- Dated in New York City, May 4, 1716, and was proved May 30, 1716.
It was witnessed by three Newarkers and names childne Samuel, Jacob, and Jame, all minors, and appoints his two brethren, Edward ffrezy and his brother in law, Joseph Bunnell, execuotrs.
Whether Frazee's wife was a Bunnell or Bonnell, or Joseph Bunnel's Martha was a Frazee is not known.

1738-1739:
Bonds of a Samuel Frazee are listed among the assets of the estate of Jeremiah Bird in 1738, and of John Balm, in 1739, and may be old uncollected notes of this Samuel. (N.J. Arch. XXX, 46, 34.
