Edward Frazee is the second born son of Joseph Ephraim Frazee.

Birth: Born 1663 in Rowley, Massachusetts before the family moved to New Jersey,
In 1665, his father emigrated from Massachusetts and became one of the original settlers of colonial Elizabethtown, NJ. The original Elizabethtown grant embraced the present sites of Elizabeth, Newark, Rahway, Plainfield, Piscataway, Woodbridge and Perth Amboy.

Burial:
In 1687, Edward and his father Joseph became original members of the First Presbyterian Church in Elizabethtown, N.J. The first pastor of that church was Rev. John Harriman, who was an executor to his father's will. Rev. John Harriman died in 1704 and is buried at the First Presbyterian churchyard/burying ground in Elizabethtown, also the presumed burial place of both Edward and his father. Some of Edward's siblings and family are buried at the Rahway Cemetery, the first burying ground for The First Presbyterian Church in Rahway - with Edward's brother John reportedly having the first headstone in that cemetery in 1720.

Marriage:
- In 169-, Edward married Mercy Oliver, daughter of Samuel and Mary Oliver of Rahway.

Children of Edward and Mercy (Oliver) Frazee:
1. Elizabeth, b. about 1698-1700; married ---- Crow.
2. Sarah, b. about 1701; married John Craig and died 1758,
3. Humus, b. about 1703-8; married Robert Ayers.
4. Effiah
5. Mary
6. Mercy, b. as late as 1729

Public records:
1693: Named in the nuncupative will of his older brother who was first named Joseph.

1717: The accounting of John Spencer of Woodbridge, shows a payment made to Edward Freasey of Elizabethtown. N.J. Arch. XXIII.

1718: Edward Frazey was an Overseer of Highways in Elizabethtown. (Per Hatfield's History of Elizabeth, N.J. published in 1868)

1733 Probate of Will:
- The Will of Captain Edward Frazee of Elizabethtown, dated Jan. 3, 1731-2 and
proved June 6, 1733 is outlined in N.J. Arch. XXX:186.
- It mentions three eldest daughters: Elizabeth Crow, Sarah Craig, and Humus, heirs and three youngest daughters Effiah, Mary and Mercy Frzaee. To Mary is left a "cubard" and side-saddle given to her mother Mercy by her grandmother Mary Oliver.
- As executors he named his friend Ezekiel Bloomfield and his brother-in-law David Oliver.
- Witnesses to the will included John and Benonny (elsewhere spelled Benoni) Frazee, evidently the nephews of the testator.

1749 Guardianship:
- On May 20, 1749, Samuel Oliver (possible father or brother in law) was made guardian of Mercy Frazee, an orphan of upwards of fourteen years of age. (N.J. Arch, XXX:187). This appears too late to be the same as his daughter Mercy?
