Marion Rose Hammer 87, of Kirksville passed away Monday, September 15, 2014, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Marion and Rose (Cima) Baiotto, Rose was born October 22, 1926 in Novinger, MO. In 1960 she was united in marriage in Kirksville, MO to Cecil Boley who preceded her in death in 1968. In 1976 she was united in marriage in Kirksville, MO to Hal Dean Hammer who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Bill Baiotto.

She is survived by one sister, Hilvina Baiotto of Kirksville; one sister-in-law, Myra Baiotto of Kirksville; three nephews, Barry Baiotto of Kirksville, Kevin Baiotto and wife, Carol of Kirksville and Steven Baiotto and wife, Donna of Raytown, MO; several great-nieces and nephews and one step-son, Richard Hammer of Springfield, MO.

Rose was reared in Novinger, MO where she attended school graduating from the Novinger High School in 1944. She lived and worked in St. Louis, MO for a short time, returning to Kirksville to work in the family business, Baiotto Concrete. After her marriage to Hal Dean Hammer she moved to San Antonio, TX and returned to Kirksville in 2012 to be near her family. She was a member of the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014, at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Father Chris Cordes officiating. Music will be provided by Jennifer Hamlet singing "Amazing Grace" and "On Eagles Wings" accompanied by Dianthe Cable, pianist. Burial will be in the Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Steve Baiotto, Barry Baiotto, Kevin Baiotto, Perry Williams, Leslie Ellsworth and Edward Christy.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m on Friday, September 19, 2014, until the time of the service at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, 2100 E. Shepherd Avenue, (Highway 6 East), Kirksville, MO davisplaylehudsonrimer.com
