May 7, 1910 - June 16, 1993

Mabel Becker, 83, of Albany, died Wednesday morning at her home.

Mrs. Becker was born in Brooklyn, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Menke) Sudbeck. She moved to Nebraska and attended Nebraska schools.

She married Al J. Becker in June 1938 in Bow Valley, Neb. They farmed in Nebraska until 1955 when they moved to Albany.

Mrs. Becker was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. For the past four years she lived at Camlu Retirement Apartments because of medical problems.

She is survived by her husband Al of Albany; sons, Jim, Duane, Allen, Charles and Roger, all of Albany; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Brothers Greg, Otto and the Rev. Albert Sudbeck died before her.

Viewing will be until 7 p.m. today and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at AAsum Funeral Home. Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:30 this evening, and the funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, both at the funeral home. Father Patrick Walsh will officiate. Burial will be at Williamette Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
