John Henry Crowder, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 08, 2014. He was a faithful member of Four Mile Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by parents George and Bonnie Crowder; sisters, Carmel and Bettie Crowder; and brother, James Homer Crowder.

He is survived by his wife, Joycelyn Crowder; sons, David, Robbie, and Dixon Crowder; daughters-in-law Leah and Heather Crowder, sisters, Deloures and Hazel; grandchildren, Devon and Hannah Crowder; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; special friends, Pennie and Bill Gregg, Dakoda, Tristan, Gavin, Rylee, and Dayton; and numerous more friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons International 2900 Lebanon Rd. Nashville, TN 37214 or the men's ministry at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church, 2633 6 Mile Rd, Maryville, TN 37803.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, August 10, 2014at Four Mile Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. James Atkins and Rev. Rex Everett officiating, with interment to follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Four Mile Missionary Baptist Church.
