Edith I. Weeks, 68, died Wednesday in the Hoisington Hospital. She was born May 6, 1906 in Bunker Hill and was married to Marion B. Weeks on July 21, 1925 in Russell. She was a resident of Hoisington since 1963 coming from rural Russell County. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Bunkerhill, Past Matron, OES Crystal chapter No. 61, Bunkerhill, Charter Member of the Shannon Missionary Society. Survivors are the widow; two sons John E., Orval E., Hoisington; Mother Mrs. Clara M Ross, Russell; three brothers; Leo Ross, Russell, Lee Ross, Luray, Floyd Ross, Longmont, Colo; four sisters; Ethel Bechtel, Russell, Mrs Florence, Meharg, Hoisington, Mrs. Viola Besthorn, Holyrood, Mrs. Clara McCabe, Olatha; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home of Hoisington with Rev. R. J. Gotschall and Rev. Tom Bandy officiating. There will be an OES service following the funeral service. Burial will be in the Cross Plains Cemetery, rural Russell County, Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Crystal Chapter No.61, OES or to a memorial of the donors choice. (Note the misspelling to from the obit not corrected)
