Lucinda was the daughter of George Flenner and Mary Magdalena Andrew. She was first married to Samuel Rodgers in 1845 in Butler, Ohio. They had a son, George E. Rodgers who came to Clark, IL and raised a large family. His father presumably died before 1850 in Ohio.
She came to Clark, IL in 1854 with the rest of her family and married Joseph P Knight in November of that year in Edgar County, Illinois. They had five children born in Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois, all of which eventually left Clark county after their parents' deaths.
Julia A. (Flenner) Adams, next older sister of Lucinda, was also buried in the same cemetery as her sister, Lucinda (Flenner)Knight & her husband, Joseph P. Knight.
