Mr. Bender was a native of South Dakota and came to South Dakota and came to Lodi as a child with his family. He fared in the Lodi area all his life and was a past director of Guild Wine Company. Mr. Bender was also a past member of the Odd Fellows and the Tokay Rangers.
Mrs. May Bender, his wife, died in January 1971.
He is survived by his son, Francis Bender; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Williams and Mrs. Fred Koenig; brothers, Calvin Bender, Gary Bender and Richard Bender; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
