Ella Christine Williams, 93, of Lodi, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2005 in a Lodi convalescent home. She was born to Charles and Elizabeth Bender on August 9, 1912 in California. Ella has been a long-time resident of Lodi, where she was a homemaker.
She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star #118 of Woodbridge, Lodi Garden Club and the Whist Club. Ella was a long-time member of the United Congregational Christian Church in Lodi. She enjoyed gardening in her yard, cooking and entertaining. Ella loved the holidays where she spent time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she was so proud of.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, the late Walter Allen Williams in 1980; brothers, Dr. Theodore, Eugene and Calvin Bender; sisters, Edna Bender and Alma Koenig.
