Irene E. (Bowers) Bedard, 80, of Westport died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Aubin F. Bedard.
A lifelong Westport resident, she was the daughter of the late Josiah and Elizabeth (Cummings) Bowers.
Mrs. Bedard was an amateur artist, and a member of the Westport Council on Aging, Fall River Art Association and the Fall River Camera Club. She enjoyed yoga and genealogy.
Survivors include her widower; two sons, James A. Bedard of Cape Coral, Fla., and Daniel A. Bedard of Lilburn, Ga.; a daughter, Deborah E. Blackburn of Tuckerton, N.J.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.
